Wijchen Kerstshow 2009...

On Saturday December 19th we attended the "Kerstshow" in Wijchen (NL) and we are very proud to announce that Ayuka's Great Akela finished 1 exc. CAC BOS in the Junior class :)

We would like to thanks the honourable judge Mrs. Ridder-Onghena (BE)!

And last but not least we were proud to handle Tundrafoot's Bern Baby Bern aka Dysco and we finished 3rd in the Group 5 under Mr. Theo Leenen (BE).

We also had the pleasure to see again Akela's sister and her nice owners...

Brussels Dog Show 2009...

On December 12th and 13th we attended the Brussels Dog Show...On both days we made a mushing demo. Hailey, Yekona, Ethna and Charko behaved very well :)On Sunday we got the following results under the judgement of Mr. G. Henriques (P):

• Ayuka's Gladiator "Max" (owner: Ayuka's kennel): 1 exc. Best Junior Male
  
• Chefornak's Yorki: 1 exc. Best Veteran


• Ayuka's Great Akela: 3 exc.


• Ayuka's Danger Relaction "Manila" (owner: Ayuka's kennel): 1 exc. CAC CACIB BOS Belgian Winner

Pampa Race 2009

On December 5th and 6th we attended the Pampa Race in Helchteren (BE).
However during the first heat on Saturday a tragic event happened. We lost a musher :(
All our condolences to the family of Martie Van Den Broeck.
Despite this very sad news our dogs did a wonderful job running.
On Saturday 5 of our malamutes (Yutah, Yekona, Hailey, Yogi & Yortak) and Charko enjoyed a nice training of 19km along with Gwen. On Sunday they did a shorter training as the trail was very hard with lots of water but with more weight (Thanks Patrik!).
On Day 2 Gijs also enjoyed a nice run with Ethna, Akela, Max & Manila.

Berlare Race 2009

On November 28-29 we attended the Sled Dog Race in Berlare. This race wasn't as easy because of the wind. Gwen ran alone with Charko and had an average of almost 14km/h.
