Ben is co-owned with my dear friend, Anita Muspach.

Malamute Prayer

I was standing on a hillside in a field of blowing wheat and the spirit of a Malamute was lying at my feet.

He looked at me with kind dark eyes, an ancient wisdom shining through
And in the essence of his being, I saw love there too.

His mind did lock upon my heart as I stood there on that day
He told me of this story, about a place so far away

I stood upon that hillside, in a field of blowing wheat
And in a twinkling of a second, his spirit left my feet.

His tale did put my heart at ease, my fears did fade away, about what lay ahead of me
On another distant day.

"I live among God's creatures now, in the heavens of your mind
So do not grieve for me, my friend, as I am with my kind.

My collar is a rainbow's hue, my leash a shooting star
My boundaries are the Milky Way, where I sparkle from afar.

There are no pens or kennels here, for I am not confined

I had a nice combined week-end...

On Saturday I attended the CACIB show in Eindhoven and was the handler of Kinuk's He Has It All "Haiko" (owners: Katrien Gaethofs & Evert Schraepen) who won 1 exc CAC CACIB BOB 3rd BOG!

Then I joined my doggies, my husband and friends in the sled dogs race in St-Vith. I am so proud of my doggies and my husband who did an excellent job on both days :) Also a big congrats to my mom with Lobo! I was also very happy to see again Chinanook's HappyJack & Chinanook's Hanoeck! Too bad I missed Chinanook's Hoshi...

On Sunday I also had the opportunity to join my good friend Patrik VDD with 3 of our old malamutes.

What a great week-end!!!

Pampa Race 2010

On December 4th-5th we attended the Pampa race in the military domain in Helchteren, Belgium. This year was the coldest edition ever. Just not enough snow to get the sled out on Saturday. However I had the pleasure to build a team of 8 with my good friend Patrik VDD and we went for a lovely run of 22km. The dogs did an excellent job :) On Sunday as it started raining and the race got cancelled we went went for a shorter run but we were very pleased to see that our dogs really had the will to go :) Gijs and my father also went for a run of 9km with the old teams.

Also we would like to congratulate Emilie Dilens who ran her first race with Chinanook's Hinook! Well done girls :) And a special thanks to Edouard for all his help :)

Last but not least American Triumph Inferno "Lobo" won the category scooter 1 dog with my mom!
